Pros: She's intelligent
Cons: She cannot teach AT ALL. I feel that she is a person who has never struggled with math; therefore, she cannot make sense of someone struggling.
She will expect you to read her mind. She doesn't like people asking questions. She has a tendency to making her students (besides the few geniuses) feel like complete idiots. She sightly delusional when she makes her exams. Some things that she encourages you to do for additional assistance with problems, she may mark you off during the exam or won't give you the supplies... I would just wait until the next semester to take it with a TA instead of her.

Pros: It's good to learn different methods of teaching. It's a great start to teaching elementary math.
Cons: Class goes by very quickly, causing you to forget a lot of the material. Although, the work is not hard, the exams are.
Sometimes Renee may come off very heartless. She's not that bad though. It's almost impossible to get a F if you because there are plenty resources available to you. She, and other professors in the MA department, frequently provide tutoring during office hours and she encourages students to come. However, the downside of taking this course is the exams and the preparation to take them. Don't use the review exams because they barely help. I believe she purposely put's them up for students who solely use them believing that 's all you have to study. WRONG. Study through the supplementary questions and review the homework assignments for the material and you should be fine.

Cons: Students are known for retaking this class........be wary. The material is not hard, but the way the test are set up makes it hard to get a high grade.

Cons: There are not many good things to say about the class or the teachers. I believe exams and quizzes are not always graded fairly and we never truly know what is to be expected of us on exams.
